Australia made a strong start at the 2024 Paris Olympics, kicking off the Games with a brilliant performance in the pool on the very first night.

After China grabbed the initial lead with gold medals in diving and shooting, Australia quickly turned the tide. Grace Brown showcased her talent by dominating the women’s road time trial, securing the first gold for the nation.

Things only got better as Ariarne Titmus followed up with a fantastic victory in the 400m freestyle, adding another gold to Australia’s tally.

But the excitement didn’t stop there—Australia picked up a third gold on the opening day with a win in the women’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay. This remarkable achievement marks Australia’s best opening day at any Olympic Games.

As of late Sunday night, the medal tally looks promising for Australia, with 3 gold and 2 silver medals, totaling 5. China is close behind with 3 gold, and South Korea, USA, and France are not far off either, showing that the competition is fierce.

As we move into Day Two of the Games, fans eagerly await the next wave of events, hoping for even more medals in the coming days.
