Azam Khan Reacts To Body Shaming Insult After Dismissal In T20 World Cup Match Against Usa

Pakistan‘s wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan found himself at the center of a heated incident during the T20 World Cup match against the USA at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. Khan faced a body-shaming insult from a spectator after being dismissed for a duck in a match that ended in a Super Over.

Following criticism over his recent performances, Azam Khan’s struggles continued as he faced his second consecutive duck after a string of failures in the series against England.

During the match, Azam Khan fell victim to left-arm spinner Nosthush Kenjige‘s delivery and was dismissed without scoring a run, adding to the pressure on the 25-year-old cricketer.

As Khan made his way back to the dressing room, spectators in Dallas directed abusive remarks at him over his dismissal, prompting a visibly irritated Azam Khan to confront a fan with a stern glare and a few choice words.

The exchange occurred as Pakistan endured a tense encounter with the USA, where the match was ultimately decided through a Super Over after both teams scored 159 runs in their respective innings.

Despite a solid partnership between Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam and Shadab Khan, the team faced a collapse following Khan’s exit, limiting them to a total of 159 for seven in their 20 overs.

In response, the USA put up a spirited chase led by captain Monank Patel, with crucial contributions from Andries Gous and Aaron Jones, eventually forcing the match into a Super Over to break the tie.

During the Super Over, Pakistani bowler Mohammed Amir struggled, conceding extras and setting a target of 13 runs for the USA. Saurabh Netravalkar held his nerve to restrict Pakistan to 13 runs as the USA secured a historic victory in the T20 World Cup.

With this win, the USA claimed consecutive victories in the tournament, defeating both Pakistan and neighboring Canada in Group A matches, setting the stage for an exciting clash with India in their upcoming fixture.
