Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG: A Game-Changer in the Commuter Motorcycle Segment

Bajaj Auto has introduced a revolutionary product in the commuter motorcycle sector with the launch of the Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG. Pioneering the utilization of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in motorcycles, Bajaj aims to redefine the dynamics of commuting with this innovative offering.

The Freedom 125 model is available in three variants: NG04 Disc LED, NG04 Drum LED, and NG04 Drum, priced competitively at ex-showroom rates in Delhi.

One of the key highlights of the Freedom 125 is its bi-fuel capability, featuring a unique 2 kg CNG tank positioned under the seat along with a traditional 2-litre petrol tank. This dual-fuel system not only enhances cost efficiency but also establishes the motorcycle as a forward-looking solution for environmentally conscious riders.

According to Bajaj, the Freedom 125 CNG model promises a significant reduction in fuel costs, with savings of up to 50% compared to conventional 125cc petrol motorcycles. Its efficient CNG mode offers an impressive range exceeding 200 kilometers on a 2 kg CNG tank, while the petrol mode provides a range of over 130 kilometers on the 2-litre tank.

Powered by a 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, the Freedom 125 CNG variant delivers 9.4 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 9.7 Nm of torque, ensuring a smooth and reliable riding experience. The motorcycle’s 5-speed gearbox complements its performance, offering versatility for urban and suburban commuting.

Designed on a robust trellis frame structure, the Freedom 125 stands out for its rigidity and stability on different terrains. It boasts front telescopic forks and a mono-shock rear suspension, providing optimal comfort and handling for riders.

The motorcycle’s braking system features a 240mm disc brake on the front wheel and a drum or 130mm disc brake on the rear wheel, depending on the variant.
