Bajaj Auto, a prominent Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, has unveiled the highly anticipated Freedom 125 CNG Motorcycle in the Indian market. This groundbreaking bike is the world’s first to be powered by CNG, offering a dual-fuel option with both petrol and CNG. The company claims that the Freedom 125 will cater to the needs of daily commuters in India and aims to significantly reduce operating costs in comparison to other commuter bikes in the segment.

The Freedom 125 comes with dual fuel tanks, allowing riders to switch between petrol and CNG. Separate nozzles are provided for each fuel type with a petrol tank capacity of 2 liters and a CNG tank capacity of 2 kilograms.

Equipped with a fuel-injected 125cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the bike generates a maximum power of 9.4 bhp and a peak torque of 9.7 Nm. It is paired with an X-Speed gearbox and features telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The braking system includes a front disc brake and a rear drum brake setup.

Bajaj claims that the Freedom 125 can run up to 213 kilometers on CNG alone and 117 kilometers on petrol. This promises a total range of 330 kilometers on both fuels combined.

The styling of the new Freedom 125 features a simple yet modern-retro design. It includes a round headlamp with DRLs, a flat seat, wide handlebars, and center-set footpegs for a comfortable riding position. The bike also comes with several tail indicators including a semi-digital instrument console with features like CNG low-level alert and neutral gear indicator.

The Freedom 125 is offered in three variants: Drum, Drum LED, and Disc LED, with prices starting from INR 95,000 onwards for the base Drum variant. Bookings for the new model have already begun through official dealerships and the online platform.
