Bhupesh Baghel Criticizes PM Modi’s Remarks on ‘Parmatma’, Compares Him to Nehru
Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel has sparked controversy by criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his recent remarks on being sent by ‘Parmatma’. Baghel compared Modi to Jawaharlal Nehru, stating that even if Modi were to be born ten times, he could never match Nehru’s legacy.
Expressing his disagreement with the Prime Minister’s statements, Baghel implied that Modi was attempting to gain attention by defaming Nehru, but asserted that Modi could never reach the stature of Nehru, a key figure in Indian history.
Bhupesh Baghel further targeted Modi for his statements on unique issues, such as calling the Congress manifesto an ‘agenda of the Muslim League’. He also criticized Modi for his actions, highlighting Modi’s visit to Pakistan to eat biryani, contrasting it with Rahul Gandhi‘s lineage tied to leaders who played a significant role in dividing Pakistan.
Referring to the Election Commission, Baghel questioned the transparency of the recent elections, noting that the delay in releasing voting data raised concerns. He specifically mentioned that in the era of ballot papers, data was swiftly released, but the digital era appeared to show discrepancies in polling percentage updates.
Times of India quoted Baghel stating, ‘When you are in an electronic era, you are not giving out the number of votes polled. You release the poll percentage after so many days, showing an increase of six to eight percent’. This skepticism towards the electoral process raised eyebrows, indicating a lack of faith in the system.
