Canadian tennis star Bianca Andreescu showcased her grass court prowess once again as she triumphed in straight sets over Czech player Linda Noskova at Wimbledon.

Hailing from Mississauga, Andreescu displayed a stellar performance, recording 28 winners and a flawless 5/5 on saved break points to secure the win.

Right from the onset, Andreescu took control of the match by breaking Noskova’s serve early on, establishing a dominant 3-0 lead in the opening set.

The 24-year-old Canadian continued to dictate play with her aggressive style, keeping her opponent off balance and showcasing her strong serve and forehand game.

As the match progressed, both players traded games, but Andreescu maintained her superiority to close out the first set convincingly at 6-3.

Entering the second set, Noskova stepped up her game, challenging Andreescu with tight competition and forcing the set to a tiebreak.

Despite the pressure, Andreescu remained composed, saving crucial break points and securing key holds to stay neck-and-neck with her opponent.

With the match hanging in the balance, Andreescu’s experience shone through as she capitalized on her opportunities, ultimately clinching the win in the tiebreak with a well-executed backhand winner.

With this victory, the former US Open champion advances to the third round at the prestigious All England Club, where she will face the winner of Jasmine Paolini and Greet Minnen in her quest for further glory.
