Bihar Elections 2024: NDA Leading in Votes, JDU Ahead in 15 Seats
As the Bihar Lok Sabha Election 2024 results unfold, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by Nitish Kumar and Narendra Modi is gaining momentum in the state. Initial counts reveal that the NDA is currently leading in over 30 of the 40 seats across Bihar.
The formidable opposition, the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), spearheaded by Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, shows strength with projections indicating victory in around five seats.
In Bihar’s political landscape, past alliances and shifting loyalties have set the stage for a gripping electoral showdown. With Nitish Kumar’s Janta Dal United (JDU) leading in 15 constituencies, the NDA demonstrates a strong presence in the state.
The coalition’s key opponents, including the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Vikassheel Insaan Party (VSP), and other affiliates under the INDIA banner, have put up a noteworthy fight across various constituencies.
Under the seat-sharing arrangement, the BJP contested on 17 seats, JDU on 16, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) on five, and other regional parties like Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Rashtriya Lok Manch (RLM) on remaining seats.
As per the voting details, Bihar witnessed polling spread over seven phases, marking a significant turnout across all regions. With complex alliances and strategic contesting, the Bihar Elections 2024 have garnered national attention for the intriguing political dynamics at play.
