Billy Bob Thornton Discusses Deep Bonds with Demi Moore and Bruce Willis Ahead of ‘Landman’ Release

Billy Bob Thornton, the acclaimed actor known for his role in «Landman,» discussed the strong relationships he has maintained over the years with co-star Demi Moore and her former husband, Bruce Willis. In an interview with Fox News Digital, Thornton expressed his admiration and fondness for both Moore and Willis, highlighting how their bond has flourished over decades.

«She’s always been a sweetheart,» Thornton remarked about Moore, reflecting on their initial encounter during the filming of «Indecent Proposal» in 1993. He noted Moore’s consistently kind demeanor, saying, «She was so nice to me when I first met her, when I only had two scenes in a movie she was starring in, and she’s just as sweet today as she was then.»

Thornton and Moore’s connection was first established during the 1993 film, but his relationship with Willis is also storied. Together, Thornton and Willis co-starred in films such as «Bandits,» «The Astronaut Farmer,» and «Armageddon.» «I’ve always been very close with Bruce,» Thornton said, recalling how Moore used to bring their daughters—Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah—to visit them on set.

The premiere of «Landman,» directed by Taylor Sheridan and set against the backdrop of West Texas oilfields, features Thornton collaborating once again with Moore. The series, inspired by the popular podcast «Boomtown,» revolves around the lives of people involved in the oil industry, from roughnecks to ambitious billionaires trying to strike it rich.

While discussing the challenges of filming «Landman» in Texas, Thornton shared his experiences with the extreme temperatures, starting in intense cold and transitioning to oppressive heat. «We started in extreme cold, and we were freezing to death the first couple of months,» he recounted. «By the time we were done, it was boiling heat.»

Despite these challenges, Thornton remained positive, stating, «I provide a living for my family by doing something that I love… I work with people that I love and adore. So, no complaints.»

Actress Michelle Randolph, who also stars in «Landman,» spoke highly of her experience working alongside Moore and Thornton. «They are the greats for a reason,» Randolph said, emphasizing their passion and dedication to the craft. «They care so much…and I just felt inspired by them every time I worked with them.»
