Social media is buzzing after controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos State. He served six months behind bars, and fans were waiting eagerly to greet him upon his release.

In a video shared on X, Bobrisky could be seen happily interacting with his fans who turned out to celebrate his freedom. Many couldn’t believe he actually went to prison, with some joking that it must have been like a vacation for him.

Back in April, Bobrisky was sentenced by Justice Abimbola Awogboro for the abuse of the Naira, and he did so without an option of a fine. The judge wanted his sentence to serve as a warning to others about the serious consequences of Naira abuse.

On social media, reactions poured in. One user, @toolzmoney, expressed disbelief about Bobrisky’s prison time. Another, @OloriSupergal, welcomed him back with excitement, while others pointed out that his incarceration felt unfair compared to politicians who evade similar consequences.

Bobrisky himself shared some advice for Nigerians after his release. He urged everyone to respect the country’s laws and the Naira. He specifically warned against spraying money, saying it could land you in prison just like he did.

Among the crowd of supporters, he emphasized gratitude for those who stood by him during his time in jail. With a fresh look, Bobrisky seems eager to focus on the positive energies surrounding him as he transitions back into his life as a social media influencer.
