Bournemouth Signs Evanilson for Record Fee
Bournemouth has made a big move in the transfer market by agreeing to a club-record fee of £40 million to sign striker Evanilson from Porto.
The Brazilian, who had a fantastic season scoring 13 league goals in 27 appearances, is set to travel to England in the next day or so to complete the transfer.
This decision comes as Bournemouth looks to find a replacement for Dominic Solanke just before their season opener against Nottingham Forest this Saturday.
In other transfer news, Brighton has confirmed the signing of Brajan Gruda from Mainz for £25 million and has also activated the £40 million release clause for Leeds forward Georginio Rutter.
Gruda, a winger, has signed a four-year deal and is expected to adapt to the Premier League with some time.
Brighton’s new manager, Fabian Hürzeler, talked about Gruda saying, “He’s like a boy from the street, he likes the ball at his feet. He can do special things like all our offensive players.”
Hürzeler added that Gruda will need time to adjust, but they are excited to integrate him into the team.
Brighton is also waiting on Rutter’s decision after meeting his release clause, as they look to strengthen their squad.
Additionally, they confirmed that new signing Ibrahim Osman has been loaned out to Feyenoord for the rest of the season.
