Bracket Announced for 2024 NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship

The NCAA has revealed the bracket for the 2024 Men’s Soccer Championship, marking an exciting time for collegiate soccer as teams prepare to compete for the national title. The tournament will feature 48 teams, composed of 22 teams that earned automatic qualifications and 26 teams selected at large by the Division I Men’s Soccer Committee.

The top 16 teams in the nation received national seeds and earned byes for the first round, allowing them to play on their home fields up to the quarterfinals. These top-seeded teams include Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Denver, and Georgetown, among others. Each seeded team will aim to capitalize on their home advantage as the championship progresses.

The first round of matches is scheduled for Thursday, November 21st, with standout matchups including Western Michigan versus SIUE and UCLA facing UC Santa Barbara. The second round follows on Sunday, November 24th, featuring significant clashes such as Ohio State against the winner of Western Michigan/SIUE and Stanford taking on the victor of UCLA/UC Santa Barbara.

Key dates for the later stages of the tournament have also been announced. The third round matchups are set for November 30th or December 1st, with the quarterfinals slated for December 6th or December 7th. The prestigious Men’s College Cup will be held at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, with the semifinals on December 13th and the National Championship on December 16th.

Matches that advance through the rounds will be broadcasted on ESPN, providing fans with the opportunity to follow their teams throughout the competition. This year’s championship is expected to deliver thrilling soccer action and showcase emerging talents from across the collegiate landscape.
