Brampton Manor Sets New A-Level Record
Brampton Manor Academy, located in one of the capital’s poorest boroughs, has broken its own record for A-level results.
This year, an impressive 150 students achieved straight A* grades. In total, 349 pupils earned A* or A grades across all their subjects.
Among these high achievers, 50 students will be heading to prestigious universities like Oxford and Cambridge. Over 90 percent of the entire cohort will be attending one of the top Russell Group institutions.
Since opening its sixth form in 2012, Brampton Manor has sent more students to Oxbridge than the famous Eton College. The school made headlines last year by sending 85 pupils to Oxford and Cambridge, which was a notable increase from previous years.
This success story is particularly inspiring as many of the students are from ethnic minority backgrounds, receive free school meals, or will be the first in their families to attend university.
Among this year’s standout performers are two boys, Arik and Owen, who both scored four A* grades and will study computer science—Arik at Cambridge and Owen at UCL.
Dayo Olukoshi, the school’s headteacher, expressed immense pride in the students’ hard work and determination. He has received an OBE for his contributions to education.
The school prides itself on a traditional academic approach and a disciplined learning environment. They celebrate effort and commitment, as emphasized in their motto.
Overall, Brampton Manor continues to shine in the education sector, with a track record of impressive results and an ability to inspire its students to reach great heights.
