Broken Arrow Police Warn Against Pulling Over on Inside Shoulders
Broken Arrow Police have issued a warning to motorists about the dangers of pulling over on the inside shoulder of the highway during traffic stops.
In a recent Facebook post, the department highlighted that such behavior has occurred during four separate traffic stops in just the past week. Police emphasize that stopping on the inside shoulder poses significant safety risks compared to stopping on the right-hand, outside shoulder.
Moreover, the police stated that stopping on the inside shoulder is not only dangerous but also illegal. They reminded drivers that the same rule applies when yielding to emergency vehicles; motorists should always use the outside lane to move over safely.
