Brothers in arms: Jiricek and Buium making waves in the hockey world
Two young hockey stars are on the verge of making a significant impact in the sport, each carving out their own path to success. Adam Jiricek, of HC Plzen in the Extraliga in Tchéquie, and Zeev Buium from the Pioneers of the University of Denver, are making a name for themselves in the hockey world.
Jiricek, who hails from Kaltovy, Tchéquie, is following in the footsteps of his brother David, who was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2022, showcasing their family’s deep love for hockey.
On the other side of the pond, Buium, born to athletic parents who immigrated from Israël to San Diego, discovered his passion for hockey at a young age, eventually thriving at the University of Denver and in international championships.
The upcoming 2024 Upper Deck draft in Las Vegas holds great promise for both Jiricek and Buium, who have showcased exceptional skills and determination in their respective journeys.
Jiricek’s season faced a setback due to a knee injury at the 2024 World Junior Championship, but his talent remains unquestionable. Buium, on the other hand, has tasted victory on multiple occasions, captaining his teams to success on the international stage as well as at the NCAA championship.
As the hockey world eagerly awaits the draft days, excitement brews around these two rising stars whose dedication, skill, and competitive spirit set them apart in the world of professional hockey.
