Browns Rookie Charged with Domestic Violence
CLEVELAND — In a shocking turn of events, Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. was arrested on Tuesday. He faces charges of domestic violence after an incident involving his fiancée.
The report details a chaotic argument that escalated on Monday night. According to police, Hall allegedly threatened the woman with a gun during a fight at their home.
Police responded to a call late at night and found evidence of a physical altercation, including a damaged door and signs of struggle. The woman claimed Hall became increasingly aggressive and even dragged her outside at one point.
She said their dispute started over financial issues regarding their young daughter, who is only 11 months old. Although Hall is engaged to the woman, he is not the biological father of the child.
Officers seized two handguns from the residence during their investigation. They also noted that the woman’s mother corroborated her account, stating she saw Hall strike her daughter with a baby bottle and shove her into a wall.
The Browns have issued a statement acknowledging the incident. They say they are still gathering information and will not comment further at this time. Meanwhile, the team is scheduled to hold joint practices with the Minnesota Vikings.
Hall was arraigned in Avon Lake Municipal Court and posted bond shortly after his arrest. His next court hearing is set for September 10.
