Boston Bruins’ forward Morgan Geekie found the back of the net in the dying seconds of Thursday’s Game 6 clash against the Toronto Maple Leafs, breaking up Joseph Woll‘s shutout bid in a narrow 2-1 loss for the Bruins.
Geekie’s late goal was a mere consolation as the Leafs held on for the win to advance in the playoffs, leaving the Bruins on the brink of elimination.
Throughout the postseason, 25-year-old Geekie has been a consistent presence in Boston’s top-six forward lines, contributing two goals, one assist, nine shots on goal, and showcasing physicality with 15 hits.
While Geekie continues to enjoy significant ice time and responsibilities with the Bruins, his offensive output has not fully matched his role within the team’s lineup.
