Muse Coffee Co, located in Portswood, was struck by a burglary early on Wednesday morning, around 4am.

CCTV footage showed two men attempting to smash the café’s front window. Unfortunately, the burglars did succeed, throwing a brick through the glass.

Chloe Sharp, a worker at Muse, described the aftermath, saying there was blood everywhere and that they managed to get away with an empty till, which fortunately held no money.

Although there is a protest happening in the area, police have stated that this burglary is unrelated to those events. Chloe expressed concern, mentioning it was the first time in her two months at the café that such an incident had occurred.

Portsmouth councillor Jon Savage commented on the incident, hoping it was just an isolated event and that police could catch those responsible.

Local residents have started to worry as similar events seem to be happening with increasing frequency. One passer-by, who chose to remain anonymous, voiced their hope that this would be a one-off occurrence.

The police have confirmed that they received a report about the burglary at Muse Coffee Co and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
