Camille Kostek Honored as Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Legend
Camille Kostek, the model and television host known for her longstanding collaboration with Sports Illustrated (SI) Swimsuit, has achieved a significant milestone by being named a «Legend» in the magazine’s 60th anniversary issue. Kostek, who first appeared in SI Swimsuit in 2018 via an open casting call, has continued to work with the publication annually, solidifying her status within the brand.
The charismatic Connecticut native’s career includes various impactful modeling gigs and philanthropic activities. Notably, she has been involved in campaigns for mental health charities. In recognition of her contributions, Kostek was selected to participate in a celebratory photo shoot in Hollywood, Florida, captured by renowned photographer Yu Tsai.
This year marks another achievement for Kostek, as she was part of a colorful, vintage-inspired shoot in Porto, Portugal, alongside visual artist Ben Watts. Her involvement in these projects underscores her dynamic presence in the fashion and modeling industry.
Reflecting on her decade-long journey with SI Swimsuit, Kostek expressed her gratitude and amazement at being inducted into the «Legends» category. She noted the influence of past SI models, describing them as «extraordinary» and a source of inspiration. «Being on the cover of Sports Illustrated was a dream come true, and now being recognized as a Legend is beyond my expectations,» said Kostek.
Kostek’s ongoing relationship with Rob Gronkowski, a former NFL star, and her contributions to swimwear and jewelry design add further dimensions to her multifaceted career. She often credits MJ Day, SI Swimsuit’s editor-in-chief, for fostering a supportive community among models, highlighting the camaraderie and empowerment she has experienced over the years.
During a recent event at Dante Beverly Hills, Kostek shared her emotional response to this new title, explaining how it represents a culmination of her hard work and dreams. «It’s still setting in,» she remarked. «But this title means more to me than I think a lot of people would understand.»
