Canada Soccer has announced the progress made by the AccelerateHER program in promoting gender equity within the Canadian coaching landscape. This initiative aims to support women coaches and enhance their opportunities within the sport.

Under the AccelerateHER program, 50 women coaches have been selected to receive grants across eight provincial organizations. The grants aim to empower and encourage women coaches in their advancement within the coaching profession.

The list of grant recipients includes coaches from various clubs and organizations such as Coquitlam Metro Ford Soccer Club, New Frontier Soccer Academy, St. Albert Impact, and many others.

Additionally, Canada Soccer has collaborated with provincial associations to fund all-women C-Diploma workshops. These workshops are designed to provide specialized training and development opportunities for women coaches.

The AccelerateHER program will continue to support women coaches by offering access to advanced coach education workshops. This national initiative is a crucial step towards creating a more inclusive and diverse coaching landscape within Canada Soccer.
