Canada Winger Tajon Buchanan Suffers Lower-Leg Injury in Copa America Training Session
Canada‘s national team winger, Tajon Buchanan, encountered a setback during a practice session in preparation for the upcoming Copa America quarterfinal against Venezuela.
The incident occurred in Arlington, Texas, where Buchanan, who plays for Inter Milan, suffered a lower-leg injury.
Following the mishap, the training session was immediately halted as Buchanan was swiftly transported to a local hospital in an ambulance for further assessment and treatment.
Canada Soccer has not disclosed the extent of Buchanan’s injury but assured that he is under medical care for evaluation.
At 25 years old, Buchanan hails from Brampton, Ontario, and has represented Canada in 40 international matches, participating in all three of Canada’s Copa America encounters so far.
Canada is scheduled to face Venezuela at AT&T Stadium in Dallas this Friday as they strive to advance in the tournament.
