Canadian Business Magnate Frank Stronach Faces Sexual Assault Charges
Renowned Canadian business tycoon Frank Stronach, the founder of Magna International, has been apprehended and formally accused of sexual assault by Peel Regional Police authorities based in Aurora, Ontario. The 91-year-old entrepreneur faces a total of five charges, including rape, indecent assault on a female, two counts of sexual assault, and forcible confinement.
The alleged incidents, believed to have occurred between the 1980s and 2023, were unearthed by the diligent investigations conducted by Peel’s special victims unit, uncovering more than one complainant in the process while withholding specific numbers.
Responding to the charges, Tracy Fuerst, Magna International’s vice-president of corporate communications, clarified that Stronach relinquished his ties with the company in 2010 and has had no association with it since then. Fuerst expressed the company’s limited awareness of the investigation and the precise allegations, only being privy to information disseminated in the media.
Moreover, Frank Stronach, who is also the father of former Member of Parliament Belinda Stronach, is scheduled to make a court appearance in Brampton on July 8, where the legal proceedings will commence.
