The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at seven locations in Gujarat as part of the ongoing investigation into the NEET UG paper leak case. The CBI began the operation in the morning at the premises of suspects located in four districts – Anand, Kheda, Ahmedabad, and Godhra.

Amidst the developments in the NEET UG paper leak case, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is yet to release the results of the re-exam conducted for 1563 affected candidates on June 23. The delay in the release of the results has led to heightened anticipation among the candidates.

During a recent Supreme Court hearing, discussions were held regarding the compensation for the affected NEET UG candidates. The issue of grace marks being rescinded by the Centre was also brought up during the hearing, adding more complexity to the situation and the upcoming re-exam results.

The paper leak case has also sparked political debates, with the BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad stating that action is being taken against those involved in the NEET UG irregularities. The uproar in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, leading to adjournments, reflects the seriousness of the matter and the calls for accountability.

President Droupadi Murmu addressed the recent incidents of paper leaks during a joint session of Parliament. The commitment to a fair investigation and stringent punishment for the guilty was emphasized, reinforcing the government’s stance on maintaining the integrity of national examinations like NEET UG.

In Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, Oasis School has been at the center of the paper leak controversy, with the CBI arresting multiple individuals, including the principal, vice-principal, and other staff members. The ongoing investigations and arrests highlight the legal actions being taken against those responsible for the NEET UG malpractice.

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has assured students and citizens of strict action in response to the NEET UG paper leak case.
