Centre for Policy Research (CPR) Announces Leadership Change
The Centre for Policy Research (CPR) has made an official announcement regarding a change in leadership, with Yamini Aiyar, the current director and CEO, stepping down from her position.
Yamini Aiyar, an alumna of the London School of Economics, St. Edmunds College, Cambridge University, and St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, has been a key figure at CPR.
The board of CPR revealed that Srinivas Chokkakula, a senior fellow at CPR and ministry of jal shakti research chair, will succeed Yamini Aiyar as the president and CEO from April 1.
CPR, a renowned think tank, has had notable personalities like former PM Manmohan Singh and former Chief Justice Y V Chandrachud on its governing board.
The organisation has collaborated with various entities including the World Bank, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Niti Aayog, Ford Foundation, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and universities such as Georgetown, Brown, and Ashoka.
CPR has also worked closely with government bodies and grassroots organisations in states like Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and Rajasthan.
