Chandrababu Naidu Set to Take Oath as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister on June 12
The Telugu Desam Party‘s national president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, is scheduled to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on June 12 at 11:27 a.m. The oath-taking ceremony will take place at a location near an IT park in Kesarapalle, close to Gannavaram airport. The event is expected to be attended by key leaders such as the National Democratic Alliance‘s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, along with senior NDA members and Chief Ministers from other States.
Initially, the TDP leaders had considered a venue near AIMS in Mangalagiri for the inauguration, but due to various reasons including security concerns, they finalized Kesarapalle as the chosen location. The NDA secured 164 out of the total 175 Assembly constituencies, with the TDP winning 135 seats, the Jana Sena Party clinching 21 seats, and the BJP securing 8. On the other hand, the YSR Congress Party emerged victorious in 11 constituencies.
All eyes are now on the formation of the government and the cabinet. Key considerations such as obligations from alliance partners like the Jana Sena Party and BJP, respecting the experience of previous Ministers, ensuring regional balance, caste and gender dynamics, will play a role in the decision-making process.
