Chandrababu Naidu Sworn in as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister for Fourth Term

Chandrababu Naidu, the stalwart leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), took oath today as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for a historic fourth term. The swearing-in ceremony was held near Medha IT Park opposite the Gannavaram Airport in Kesarapalli on the outskirts of Vijayawada.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of several dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP chief JP Nadda. This significant occasion marked the return of N Chandrababu Naidu to the Chief Ministerial position, following a staggering victory in the recent elections.
The NDA’s resounding win in the simultaneous Lok Sabha and state assembly elections secured an overwhelming victory with 164 out of 175 assembly seats and 21 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats. The triumph reinstated Chandrababu Naidu as the Chief Minister, surpassing the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party’s (YSRCP) YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Joining Naidu in the oath-taking were members of the Andhra cabinet, such as Jana Sena Party Chief Pawan Kalyan, senior JSP leader N Manohar, and TDP Andhra Pradesh leader Atchannaidu. The cabinet is expected to have 26 ministers, as per the assembly strength.
During his address to the legislators, Chandrababu Naidu reiterated his commitment to developing Amaravati as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh. He expressed profound gratitude for the cooperation extended by his colleagues and announced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence at the ceremony.
The ceremony witnessed the participation of top South Indian film luminaries, including megastar Chiranjeevi and his illustrious son Ram Charan. Noteworthy personalities like Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, and Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde were also in attendance.
With Chandrababu Naidu commencing his fourth term as Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister, the political landscape is poised for a new phase under the able leadership of the seasoned and visionary leader.
