Chelsea Football Club is on the brink of finalizing a deal to bring Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham, as the defender leaves the Cottagers club upon the expiration of his contract on a free transfer.
The departure of Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham was confirmed by the club on their official website, marking the end of his four-season spell, where he made 132 appearances and was a key figure in their Championship title win in the 2021-2022 season.
Adarabioyo, who joined Fulham from Manchester City in 2020, was a subject of interest from several clubs including Manchester United and Newcastle United as his contract came closer to its end.
Fulham’s manager, Marco Silva, had expressed optimism about the possibility of Adarabioyo renewing his contract, but reports now suggest that the 26-year-old defender is set to switch allegiances to Chelsea, a West London rival.
