Chelsea Football Club has officially learned the six teams it will compete against in the league phase of this season’s UEFA Conference League. The draw was conducted today in Monaco.

The teams Chelsea will face in their inaugural Conference League campaign are Gent (home), Heidenheim (away), Astana (away), Shamrock Rovers (home), Panathinaikos (away), and Noah (home).

This will mark the first competitive meeting between Chelsea and all six of these opponents. However, the club has previously encountered other teams from Belgium, Germany, and Greece in European competitions.

Notably, Chelsea will be facing clubs from Kazakhstan, the Republic of Ireland, and Armenia for the first time in its history.

Chelsea secured its place in the league phase last night by achieving a 3-2 aggregate victory over Swiss team Servette in the qualifying play-off round, highlighted by two penalties and a decisive strike at Stamford Bridge.

As the highest-ranked team in the competition according to UEFA coefficients, Chelsea was placed in Pot 1 for the league phase draw, which has been newly introduced as part of the revamped tournament format this season.

The fixture format includes one match against each of the six designated teams, either at home or away. The top eight teams out of the total thirty-six will advance directly to the last sixteen, while an additional sixteen teams will compete in playoffs.

Details regarding the order and dates for Chelsea’s six fixtures will be announced tomorrow, along with ticket information. Updates will be made available on the official Chelsea website and app.
