Clacton Pride Celebrates Diversity And Unity With Thousands In Attendance

Clacton Pride recently attracted over 9,000 participants to the Greensward in Marine Parade West, as the festival celebrated diversity and unity through music and entertainment.

Hosted by Faith Louise and featuring stars like Jill Nalder from ‘It’s A Sin‘ and Heather Peace from ‘EastEnders‘, the event drew attendees from as far as Spain.

Organizer Cheryl Piper expressed delight at the growing turnout each year and emphasized the event’s inclusivity towards the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.

As Clacton Pride coincided with Armed Forces Day, a poignant moment was observed to honor LGBTQ+ individuals who served in the military, reflecting on the historical significance of acceptance within the armed forces.

Clacton Pride not only commemorated Armed Forces Day but also paid tribute to the 80th anniversary of the D-day landings, recognizing the bravery of soldiers who fought against fascism.

The event also highlighted the support provided by local businesses, including generous donations from establishments like Clacton Enterprise Centre.
