Cleveland Cavaliers Dominate Injury-Depleted New Orleans Pelicans

Ty Jerome emerged as a standout performer, scoring a career-high 29 points, including 27 in the first half alone. Jerome’s exceptional shooting witnessed him hit seven three-pointers before halftime, as he filled in for the injured Cavaliers’ point guard. «He was elite tonight,» said Coach Kenny Atkinson regarding Jerome’s performance.
Jerome’s remarkable second quarter included three long three-pointers in a 62-second span, helping extend Cleveland’s lead to a substantial 67-51 margin.
Jarrett Allen contributed 16 points and 11 rebounds, while first-round pick Tyson had an impressive showing with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists in his first professional start. Georges Niang supported the Cavaliers’ offensive efforts with 20 points.
The New Orleans Pelicans, challenged by significant injuries, had eight of their top players sidelined, affecting their scoring ability.
