Houston Cold Front November 2024

The city of Houston is experiencing a noticeable drop in temperatures following a recent rainstorm and cool front. As the humidity levels have significantly decreased, residents are enjoying a comfortable climate.

According to local weather reports, a more robust cold front is expected to move through the region this evening, further decreasing temperatures. Forecasts suggest that tomorrow’s high temperatures will reach the upper-60s, while overnight lows will dip into the low-50s.

Weather experts indicate that Southeast Texas is currently under the influence of a dip in the jet stream. This meteorological pattern is allowing colder air from the upper atmosphere to filter into the southeastern United States. Although the most frigid air will remain eastward, the jet stream’s influence is expected to lower morning temperatures in Houston into the low to mid-40s by the latter part of the week.

Thursday morning is particularly notable, with projections showing a low of 44 degrees, marking the coldest temperature the city has experienced in eight months. The last occurrence of temperatures in the mid-40s was on March 19, when the mercury dropped to 43 degrees.

Residents are advised to enjoy the chillier climate while it lasts, as forecasts indicate a return to warmer conditions in the coming week. Highs are predicted to soar into the 80s, with lows climbing back into the 60s.
