Communal Clashes In Medak: Bjp Leaders Arrested, Union Minister Calls For Investigation

The Medak police in Telangana apprehended several key figures from the BJP, including Gaddam Srinivas, M. Nayam Prasad, and BJYM president, in connection with the recent communal unrest in Medak town. The turmoil ensued after clashes near the Minhaj Ul Uloom madrasa, where tensions escalated over cattle purchases for Bakrid.

Following the violent incident, the police invoked Section 144 near Ramdas Chowrasta in Medak town to maintain order, with Superintendent of Police B. Bala Swamy confirming that further arrests are imminent.

On the political front, BJP legislator from Goshamahal, T. Raja Singh, was taken into preventive custody upon his arrival at RGI Airport by Cyberabad police, as concerns mounted about his potential involvement in the Medak clashes.

Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, urged law enforcement to conduct a thorough probe into the communal incidents and ensure impartial accountability for those responsible for the violence.

Addressing the need for swift action, Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar emphasized the importance of upholding communal harmony and safeguarding the rights of the affected populations. He underscored the necessity for fair treatment of both victims and perpetrators to restore peace in Medak.
