Congress Candidates Record Landslide Victories in Telangana Lok Sabha Elections
In the Telangana Lok Sabha elections, Congress candidates from Nalgonda and Khammam constituencies have secured remarkable victories, establishing massive leads over their opponents. K. Raghuveer Reddy in Nalgonda and Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy in Khammam have achieved landslide victories with large margins against their BJP and BRS rivals.
The State of Telangana, known for its intricately competitive political landscape, witnessed a significant shift as Congress made a stronghold in the region following the recent State assembly elections. With a focus on welfare schemes and effective governance, Congress has managed to sway the electorate towards their candidates.
Leading the charge for Congress in Nalgonda, K. Raghuveer Reddy secured an overwhelming lead of 5.25 lakh votes against BJP’s Shanmpudi Saidi Reddy, while in Khammam, Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy claimed victory with a substantial margin of 4.34 lakh votes over BRS’ Nama Nageswara Rao.
Moreover, in Mahabubabad, Congress candidate Porike Balram Naik registered a commanding lead of 3.12 lakh votes against BRS’ Kavitha Maloth, solidifying Congress’s position in the Lok Sabha elections across Telangana.
On the political front, the campaign in Telangana witnessed the active involvement of major leaders including Rahul Gandhi from Congress, Narendra Modi, and Amit Shah from BJP, and Asaduddin Owaisi from AIMIM, reflecting the intense competition for parliamentary seats in the State.
