Cumberland Village Gears Up for Victoria Day Festivities
The charming Village of Cumberland is set to celebrate Victoria Day with a lineup of exciting events and activities organized by the Cumberland Events Society.
Residents and visitors alike can kick off the festivities with a delicious pancake breakfast taking place at both the iconic Legion and the historic Masonic Hall, running from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
In the morning hours, the day’s activities will kick into full swing with the CCSS Thunderballs fundraiser on Dunsmuir Avenue beginning at 9:15, followed by the popular Fun Zone at the picturesque Village Park at 9:30.
One of the main highlights of the day will be the vibrant Victoria Day Parade, commencing at 10 a.m. sharp, setting off along Dunsmuir Avenue from Egremont/Sutton Rd to Seventh Street, with additional closures on First Street from Dunsmuir to Windemere Avenue, and Beaufort Avenue.
Following the colorful parade, a dynamic ceremony will take place, accompanied by dancing, a lively beer garden, engaging stage performances, children’s races, and the must-attend bicycle draw, all scheduled between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
