Cycling Excitement Kicks Off at the Paris 2024 Olympics

The cycling events at the Paris 2024 Olympics are set to be quite the spectacle! With 66 medals up for grabs across 22 different cycling categories including road cycling, mountain biking, track cycling, and BMX racing, there’s a lot to look forward to.

The excitement kicks off on July 27 with the individual time trials, starting from the iconic Eiffel Tower. Athletes from all over the globe will be competing, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the city.

Belgium’s Remco Evenepoel and Australia’s Grace Brown took home the gold medals for the men’s and women’s time trials, making a splash on the wet roads of Paris. It’s a thrilling start to what promises to be an exhilarating two weeks of competition.

Following the time trials, the mountain biking events are next in line, with the women’s race happening on July 28 and the men’s on July 29. Elancourt Hill will serve as the challenging venue for these exciting races.

BMX events will showcase their flair starting July 31, held at the famous Place de la Concorde. BMX racing will follow on August 2 at the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines BMX Stadium, continuing the high-energy atmosphere of the Games.

Not to be missed, road cycling events will take place on August 3 and 4, with competitors tackling tough routes that include steep climbs and thrilling finishes. The excitement will culminate with track cycling events from August 5 to 11 at the velodrome.
