Danny Dyer Buckles Under Pressure In The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Su2c

Radio 1 presenter Yinka Bokinni has spilled the beans on her fellow bakers in The Great Celebrity Bake Off For SU2C, revealing Danny Dyer’s struggles under pressure in the tent.

The star-studded line-up includes the likes of Jayde Adams, Rhod Gilbert, and Leigh Francis, who are tasked with showcasing their baking skills in the tent of the Great British Bake Off.

Despite the calm presence of judges Dame Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, and the bubbly encouragement from hosts Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding, things got a bit overwhelming for Danny during the showstopper challenge.

Yinka disclosed that Danny had a tough time trying to incorporate a cake figure of himself into his design, which was inspired by a real-life DIY mishap.

However, despite the setback, Yinka was pleasantly surprised by Danny’s baking skills, admitting that she had expected a disaster but was impressed with his cake-making abilities.

The former Capital Xtra host also shared that the camaraderie between her and the other celebrity contestants, including Rhod, Leigh, and Danny, was vibrant and they all bonded over their larger-than-life personalities, with Danny even giving Yinka a pet name during the show.

The Naked Education presenter expressed her excitement at being under the watchful eye of host Alison Hammond, describing her as warm, talented, and always up for a laugh between takes.

Despite feeling a bit nervous about meeting the formidable Paul Hollywood, Yinka was charmed by the entire Bake Off team, including judges Prue Leith and Noel Fielding, finding the experience exactly as she had imagined it to be in the tent.

While Yinka had a blast on the show, she made it clear that baking was not her forte and that she had left her cake tins behind in the tent, with no plans to try baking at home any time soon.

The Great Celebrity Bake Off For SU2C airs tonight from 7:40pm on C4, raising money for Stand Up To Cancer.
