WA Day WAFL Spectacular: Wins for South Fremantle, East Perth and Notte’s Milestone Victory

Over the WA Day Round, more than 12,000 avid fans flocked to witness thrilling WAFL matches, as South Fremantle and East Perth emerged victorious. Notably, veteran player Notte celebrated his 300th game with Swan Districts, while Claremont and West Coast Eagles secured wins over the weekend.

Kicking off on Saturday, Claremont delivered an impressive performance by defeating the league-leading Peel Thunder 10.12 (72) to 5.13 (43) at Revo Fitness Stadium. In another Saturday showdown, Swan Districts rallied in honor of Notte’s milestone to seal a win against Subiaco 9.11 (65) to 7.12 (54) at Sullivan Logistics Stadium.

In a thrilling contest on Sunday, the West Coast Eagles clinched back-to-back wins with a narrow 10.11 (71) to 10.9 (69) victory over Perth in Northam, highlighted by debutant Jack Hutchinson’s five goals after being selected in the mid-season draft.

Continuing the WA Day celebration, a crowd of 7468 turned out at Fremantle Community Bank Oval to witness South Fremantle’s dominant 13.9 (87) to 10.13 (73) win over East Fremantle, with Dylan Main shining with six goals.

At Pentanet Stadium, 4534 spectators watched East Perth claim a thrilling 13.8 (86) to 11.17 (83) victory, with defender Harrison Macreadie stepping forward with two late goals to secure the win and propel the Royals to the top spot on the ladder. Noteworthy performances included Shane Nelson’s 44 possessions for West Perth and Mitch Crowden’s 38 for East Perth.
