Disciplinary Issues Rise Between Indian Cricketer Shubman Gill And Captain Rohit Sharma

Disciplinary concerns have come to the fore within the Indian cricketing circles, with young talent Shubman Gill at the center of attention. Gill, although traveling with Team India to the United States, was visibly absent from the stadium during a recent high-energy clash in New York. It was the reserve players like Rinku Singh, Avesh Khan, and Khalil Ahmed who were actively boosting the Indian team morale from the stands during the India-Pakistan match.

Reports now indicate that both Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan will return to India after the group stages. The decision was facilitated post their temporary inclusion as replacements in the team, primarily owing to disciplinary issues concerning Gill. Interestingly, Gill seemed quite detached from the team spirit while in America, sparking speculation of his involvement in sideline business ventures rather than actively supporting the Indian team.

In a more surprising turn of events, Shubman Gill took to Instagram to unfollow Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. This action raised eyebrows and hinted at possible underlying tensions between the two cricketing stars. Gill, who delivered an impressive performance for India in the previous ODI World Cup, has faced the disappointment of missing out on a spot in the main T20 World Cup squad. He instead traveled with the Indian team as a reserve player to America.

Shubman Gill’s International Career has seen him play 25 Tests, 44 ODIs, and 14 T20 matches for India. With notable contributions of 1492 runs in Tests, 2271 runs in ODIs, and 335 runs in T20s, Gill has been a promising prospect for Indian cricket.
