Veteran Nigerian music producer and Mavin Records executive, Don Jazzy, has raised concerns about the lack of reception towards female musicians by Nigerians.

Jazzy emphasized that despite the hard work put in by female artists in the music industry, they do not receive as much recognition as their male counterparts.

In a recent social media post, a user identified as Lahon199x also pointed out the disparity, noting that Nigerian female artists have a higher chance of achieving global A-list status than within Nigeria itself.

Reiterating the sentiment, Don Jazzy expressed disappointment over the situation, highlighting the immense effort female artists put into their music.
