Dorit and PK Kemsley Announce Separation After Nearly a Decade of Marriage
Dorit Kemsley, well-known for her role on ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,’ and her husband, English businessman Paul “PK” Kemsley, announced in May 2024 that they would be separating after nearly ten years of marriage. The couple has been a part of the reality television landscape since Dorit joined the show in 2016, during its seventh season.
The pair got married in 2015, a year after welcoming their first child, son Jagger. Their family grew with the birth of their daughter, Phoenix, in 2016. PK Kemsley has three other children from his previous marriage: daughters Atlanta and Tatum, and son Daniel.
In a joint statement shared via their Instagram Stories, the Kemsleys expressed, «We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together. We have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children.» This announcement will be addressed in the upcoming fourteenth season of RHOBH, premiering November 19, 2024.
Speculation about the couple’s relationship had been ongoing, particularly after Dorit’s costar Erika Jayne suggested they might split during BravoCon 2022. Despite denying separation rumors in 2023 and admitting to facing challenging years, largely attributed to the aftermath of a home invasion in October 2021, Dorit and PK insisted at the time that they intended to stay together. At a reunion in March 2024, Dorit revealed that PK had given up drinking to better their relationship.
Their relationship’s roots trace back to 2011, when Dorit and PK met in New York City through mutual friends. Their courtship was marked by a ‘Great Gatsby’-inspired wedding at Rockefeller Center’s Rainbow Room in 2015, and a shared enthusiasm for the public spotlight that the show provided. «PK’s cool. He likes it. He likes the thrill of it,» Dorit commented in 2017 regarding their public life together.
In response to rumors about their separation being potentially fabricated for the television show, PK reportedly told Rob Minkoff, husband of fellow RHOBH star Crystal Kung Minkoff, that their marital difficulties were genuine. «PK said, No, it was like we were really going through some times,» Minkoff shared in a podcast appearance in November 2024.
