Doug Emhoff Praises Kamala Harris at Democratic National Convention

The couple’s 10th wedding anniversary is approaching, and Emhoff mentioned that Harris has saved his original voicemail, celebrating their connection each year by replaying it on their special day.
He affirmed Harris’s qualities, stating, “She finds joy in pursuing justice.” Emhoff emphasized her strength in standing up against bullying and her profound empathy. He denoted her as a “joyful warrior,” who will lead with both joy and toughness, lending her compassion to all people.
Emhoff also acknowledged the historic moment in 2020 when Harris became the nation’s first female vice president, marking a significant milestone for both her and himself as the first second gentleman and the first Jewish spouse of a vice president or president.
Additionally, Emhoff underscored the importance of combating antisemitism in his platform, highlighting Harris’s encouragement for him to engage in this critical fight.
