Drake’s Toronto Mansion Flooded During Record Rainstorm
Canadian superstar Drake faced a watery challenge as his Toronto mansion, situated in the upscale Bridle Path neighborhood, got flooded during an unprecedented rainstorm on July 16, 2024. The rapper, born Aubrey Graham, shared a glimpse of the chaos on his Instagram story, with brown water swirling inside his lavish estate.
Accompanied by another individual trying to barricade a door to prevent more water from entering, Drake humorously remarked, ‘This better be Espresso Martini,’ as he navigated ankle-high flooding throughout his residence.
Purchased in 2015 for $6.7 million, the stunning property on Park Lane Circle was a creation of luxury home designer and builder Ferris Rafauli, reflecting Drake’s opulent taste and style.
The torrential rainstorm paralyzed Toronto, surpassing usual July rainfall levels by delivering a staggering 96 mm of rain within hours, leaving many parts of the city submerged. Over 170,000 homes and businesses grappled with power outages as the city grappled with the aftermath.
With power slowly being restored to the affected areas, the Insurance Bureau of Canada advised residents, including those facing property damage like Drake, to review their insurance policies for flood coverage and necessary claims.
