Dream Home Couple Sacrifice Time with Twins for Renovation Competition
Brisbane parents, Jonny and Hannah, made the tough decision to leave their one-year-old twins, Goldie and Theodore, in the care of family and friends as they compete in a renovating competition, as reported by Woman’s Day.
The couple expressed that the sacrifice of being away from their kids for an extended period was worthwhile, as it provided an opportunity to renovate their inner-city Brisbane home, something they could not have accomplished on their own after becoming parents.
The original plans to renovate their home were put on hold after the birth of the twins, leading them to only make minimal changes until the competition came along.
Despite the nerve-wracking experience of entrusting their home to strangers for renovation, Jonny and Hannah felt confident in the transformation, but expressed a fear of returning to a house with bright, mismatched colors that lacked cohesion.
Aside from the possibility of a beautifully renovated home, the couple also have the chance to win a grand prize of $100,000, which would greatly alleviate financial stress.
Jonny highlighted the drama and heartwarming moments in the competition, emphasizing the surprise and joy felt during the reveal of the renovated spaces.
