Dry Weather and Windy Conditions Expected in San Diego County
San Diego County is anticipated to experience dry weather conditions in the coming week, accompanied by periods of wind, according to weather forecasters. NBC 7 meteorologist Greg Bledsoe noted the possibility of weak Santa Ana winds affecting the mountains and deserts, although these will not match the intensity seen in previous weeks.
The National Weather Service forecasts that deserts may encounter above-average gusts, reaching up to 35 mph on Monday. Conditions will remain sunny, with temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to low 80s throughout the week. Mountain areas are expected to have strong winds between 20 to 30 mph until at least Tuesday, with highs initially in the lower 60s but rising to the upper 70s by week’s end.
Inland valley areas might also experience strong gusts continuing into Tuesday, while mostly sunny skies and temperatures reaching the low 80s by Thursday are anticipated.
Coastal regions of San Diego are predicted to witness a mix of partly cloudy and sunny weather throughout the week. Highs are expected in the upper 60s, accompanied by light winds, as reported by forecasters.
Despite the previous cold weekend in San Diego, cool mornings will persist, although not reaching the same low temperatures. Mornings are likely to be in the 30s or 40s, according to Bledsoe. Daily temperature increases are expected, notably on Thursday and Friday, which are projected to be the warmest days of the week.
Bledsoe added, «Inland areas could get close to 80 degrees again by later this week. The weekend will be a little cooler, but dry. The chance for any rain doesn’t pop up again until next week, and that’s too far off to start talking about timing.»
The forecasted weather provides an opportunity for residents to prepare for the windy and dry conditions while looking forward to the gradual warming over the week.
