World number four Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan has booked her spot in the quarter-finals of the French Open with a dominant performance against the 29-year-old Ukrainian, Elena Svitolina.

After a slow start where both players faced breaks, Rybakina elevated her game and smoothly claimed the first set.

In the second set, Svitolina struggled to match Rybakina’s pace and precision, showing signs of fatigue from the get-go.

Svitolina, a four-time quarter-finalist at the French Open, failed to challenge the former Wimbledon champion in this encounter.

Rybakina, who last made the last eight in 2021, will now face the winner of the match between 70th-ranked Russian Elina Avanesyan and 15th-ranked Italian Jasmine Paolini.
