Elvis Costello Announces 15-Date US Tour with Steve Nieve
Elvis Costello has announced a series of performances, scheduled to take place throughout February and March. The tour features Costello alongside the Attractions’ pianist, Steve Nieve, and will encompass 15 dates. The initial performance is set for February 19 at the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Easton, Pennsylvania.
The tour includes stops at several prominent venues in Upstate New York, such as the State Theatre in Ithaca, the UB Center for the Arts in Buffalo, and two nights at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock. Following these, the tour will conclude with three shows in Chicago at Park West, where Costello and Nieve will collaborate with additional musicians including Eleanor Whitmore on fiddle, Tony Garnier on double bass, Shaye Cohn on cornet, and Sean McKeon on Uilleann pipes.
The presale of tickets is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, November 20 at 10 a.m. local time, with a general sale commencing on Friday, November 22 at 10 a.m. local time. Fans interested in early access can sign up for notifications. Tickets are also expected to be available through secondary market platforms, which may offer buyer guarantees and potentially below-face-value pricing for sold-out events.
Costello, born Declan MacManus, is a celebrated musician recognized for his contributions to new wave, pub rock, and power pop genres. His distinguished career includes over 30 album releases, with works such as «Wise Up Ghost» featuring The Roots and «New Basement Tapes» with T Bone Burnett, Rhiannon Giddens, Taylor Goldsmith, Jim James, and Marcus Mumford. Apart from his solo work, Costello has written songs for various artists including Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash and collaborated with names like Loretta Lynn and Aimee Mann.
