Emma Navarro made an impressive debut on Centre Court at Wimbledon by defeating former world No. 1 Naomi Osaka, securing her spot in the 3rd round.
The Lowcountry native showcased her talent in the 6-4, 6-1 victory, dominating the match with only 2 unforced errors throughout.
Trailing 3-2 in the initial set, Navarro rallied to win 10 of the next 12 games and secure her first-ever 3rd round appearance at the All-England Club.
Next, Navarro is set to face Diana Shnaider, who emerged victorious over former Daniel Island champion Sloane Stephens.
The potential showdown with 2nd-seeded Coco Gauff in the 4th round looms large for the rising star.
