On Monday, Emma Willis got emotional while praising her husband Matt on The Newlyweds Podcast. The couple, who’ve been married since 2008, shared sweet moments about their journey together and their three kids: Isabelle, 15, Ace, 12, and Trixie, 8.

During the episode hosted by Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo, Emma talked about how wonderful a father Matt is. She mentioned how he connects with their children, saying, ‘It’s like his best mate had arrived’ when they had kids.

Emma started getting teary as she explained how Matt thrives as a dad, stating, ‘He’s f***ing phenomenal with them.’ As the conversation went on, she reached for Matt’s hand, reminding him how his role as a father brings out the best in him.

Jamie and Sophie were also moved, with Jamie exclaiming, ‘Why am I getting emotional?’ which lightened the mood when Emma joked, ‘Or you’ll combust!’

Later on, Matt reciprocated the feelings, sharing his pride in their children and how they reflect the best parts of both parents. They both revealed how their relationship has thrived over the years, and how working together has reignited their bond.

Matt, who first dated Emma when he was just 22, reflected on how their professional collaboration reminded him how much he enjoys spending time with her. He expressed a deep appreciation for Emma, calling her ‘the f*****g best’ at what she does.

Besides their family life, the couple has been open about Matt’s struggles with sobriety. They even created a documentary about it titled Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction, which Emma initially hesitated to join but found it cathartic in the end.
