Exciting news has surfaced for fans of the beloved detective drama series, McDonald & Dodds, as ITV has officially announced the return of the show with its fourth series.

Tala Gouveia and BAFTA-award winner Jason Watkins are set to reprise their roles as the dynamic duo, DCI McDonald and DS Dodds, in three feature-length episodes packed with intriguing mysteries.

Set in the charming city of Bath, the new series follows the clever DCI McDonald and the astute DS Dodds as they team up to solve perplexing crimes.

The first film of the series kicks off with a body discovered on a busy morning rush hour bus, leading the detectives on a trail involving a valuable artifact, the roots of blues music, and personal histories being unraveled.

Among the star-studded guest cast for McDonald & Dodds series 4 is Toby Stephens, known for his role as Sherlock Holmes’ enemy in the hit Netflix series.

Lydia Leonard from Gentleman Jack, Daniel Lapaine from Catastrophe, Ray Panthaki from Line of Duty, and Ace Bhatti are set to join the ensemble.

Renowned actor John Gordon Sinclair makes an appearance as Nevis McLintock, and the lineup also includes music sensations Pixie Lott and Mr Hudson.

Claire Skinner, Charlie Chambers, and an exciting mix of talented actors will further elevate the series with their performances.
