Extreme Body Modifier ‘Eunuch Maker’ Jailed for Life
A self-proclaimed ‘eunuch maker,’ Marius Gustavson, has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 22 years at the Old Bailey in London. Gustavson, a Norwegian national, admitted to several grievous bodily harm offences, painting a grim picture of his macabre activities.
The judge presiding over the case, Mark Lucraft KC, described Gustavson as ‘a lunatic,’ ‘an arch-manipulator,’ and ‘a butcher’ who orchestrated a disturbing enterprise involving extreme body modifications. His sentencing marked the culmination of a grueling three-day court process filled with horrifying details.
Gustavson’s dark deeds came to light after a victim bravely reported the atrocities to the Devon & Cornwall Police. The victim, who remains anonymous for legal reasons, provided substantial evidence of Gustavson’s heinous acts, leading to the shutdown of his exploitative pay-per-view website, ‘Eunuchmaker.’
The Crown Prosecution Service, under the leadership of Kate Mulholland, played a pivotal role in securing Gustavson’s conviction. The case shed light on the evolution of Gustavson from a respected member of the LGBT community in Oslo, Norway, to the sinister figure he became in London, engaging in criminal practices.
Gustavson’s criminal empire thrived on offering illegal services like castration, penis removal, and limb freezing to a global audience. His website boasted gruesome footage of operations carried out in non-sterile conditions by unqualified accomplices, leading to irreparable harm for many victims, some as young as 16.
Despite Gustavson’s attempts to justify his actions by citing ‘body integrity dysphoria,’ the court dismissed his defense as unfounded, highlighting the financial motivations behind his barbaric activities. The profit-driven nature of Gustavson’s endeavors, which earned him nearly £300,000, underscored the cruelty and exploitation at the core of his operations.
In sentencing Gustavson and six of his co-conspirators, the court sent a stark message about the consequences of preying on vulnerable individuals for personal gain. The case stands as a sobering reminder of the need for vigilance against such egregious crimes that inflict lasting physical and psychological trauma.
