A video being circulated on social media falsely claims that Hushpuppi, also known as Ramon Abbas, has been released from jail, sparking rumors and confusion among netizens.

Ramon Abbas, who is currently serving an 11-year sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, was convicted in November 2022 for his involvement in money laundering through online scams.

The video in question dates back to 2018 and shows Hushpuppi celebrating his birthday before his arrest. However, his scheduled release date remains unchanged, set for April 2029 as confirmed by the US Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Despite the false claims, an Oshogbo twitter influencer, previously known for spreading misinformation about Hushpuppi’s release in November 2023, sparked the recent wave of rumors by sharing the outdated video.

It is important to note that these rumors are unfounded and based on outdated content, and Hushpuppi remains incarcerated in accordance with his sentencing.
